The family owned Tasik Ria Resort offers palm fringed tranquillity on the doorstep of North Sulawesi’s finest diving. Just 30 minutes offshore is the Bunaken Marine Park with its plunging reef walls packed with diverse coral life. The sites closer to shore are home to otherwise rare and exquisite critters that this pocket of Indonesia has become so well known for. Tasik Ria Resort has a pool for relaxing between dives, a spa with a wide range of treatments and a choice of accommodation options. Sea View cottages are set back from a sand beach with spectacular views across to the horizon. Pool View rooms are conveniently situated around the large free form freshwater swimming pool. Some rooms have inter-connecting doors which are ideal for families.
Each morning the Tasik Ria Resort dive boats leave for the surrounding islands of the Bunaken Marine Park, backdropped by spectacular volcanoes that form the highlands behind the resort. Siladen, Manado Tua and Bunaken Island offer coral and marine life in abundance. This region is at the heart of the world’s richest centre for marine biodiversity and it’s clear to see. Huge green sea turtles are regularly seen resting in the reef wall whilst eagle rays often cruise the reef crest. Thick hard and soft coral gardens blanket the walls that plunge vertically disappearing in the cobalt blue waters below. North Sulawesi has plenty of highlights above the surface with traditional markets, highland peaks and lakes and the opportunity to see the Tarsier (pictured above). The Lembeh Strait is a short journey from Tasik Ria Resort offering a marine environment quite like any other. Ask us about tailoring your trip to your exact wishes.
