The Tambora custom built beautiful wooden schooner proves that enjoying the traditional sailing boat does not mean compromising comfort and luxury. This spacious boat comfortably accommodates 16 divers in 8 en-suite air-conditioned guest rooms (double or twin configurations- no bunk beds). The rooms have lots of storage space for luggage and offer a writing desk for log book completion. There is a large salon with separate dining and relaxing spaces, and three separate lounge decks, thus providing space, privacy and sun protection. The boat is very well equipped to provide 5 delicious meals a day, prepared by experienced chefs, including Indonesian, European and Japanese style offerings.
The Tambora has been built with diver comfort in mind. The walls are sound proof so that guests will not be disturbed by compressor noises. Each diver is assigned a basket to store equipment after rinsing in the two large cleaning tanks provided. There is a designated dry area, perfect for preparing cameras, torches or computers.
This beauty has been designed with the highest safety standards in mind, and also emits as few carbon emissions as possible by only using engines when absolutely necessary. The staff on board is very experienced. The captain and guides have been diving the area for many years, the dinghy drivers have great knowledge of the ocean currents, and the hospitality team has been in the industry for several years. All of this combines to deliver an unforgettable experience.
