When it comes to an island diving experience Siladen Resort is hard to beat. Aside from the white sand beach and swaying palm trees there’s a stupendous drop off within easy reach of your accommodation. Located in the heart of Bunaken Marine Park, a protected ocean area known for it’s biodiversity, Siladen boasts reefs plunging to depths of well beyond 100 meters with walls thick with hard and soft corals. The reef crest at 5 meters is great for snorkelling and it’s not uncommon to see turtles and eagle rays cruising around in the shallows here.
The other islands of the Bunaken Marine Park, of which there are five in total, are easily reached from Siladen’s convenient location. Since North Sulawesi is located in the center of the coral triangle you can expect some of the richest and healthiest reefs found anywhere in world. Abundant critter life also features along with occasional shark sightings and schooling fish.
The resort is located on the western side of Siladen island on a 300 meters long stretch of white sand beach facing the Manado Tua volcano (now extinct). Guests enjoy breathtaking sunsets all year round, whilst the pool and sun loungers make a great place to relax between dives.
