Philippines and Palau Group Safari │ November 2019

If you are looking for the perfect all round trip, look no further. We are combining world-class muck diving with some of the best big fish diving available, and resort based with liveaboard based diving to bring you this exemplary itinerary. The combination of Anilao and Palau is hard to beat.

We start in Anilao, Philippines. Known for outstanding critter spotting and colourful healthy reefs, we will spend 6 nights at the seaside resort of Buceo. Each en-suite room has sea views from a private terrace and is airconditioned. The resort has an excellent restaurant which serves 3 buffet style meals a day, combining local and international flavours to suit all pallets. There is also a fully stocked bar with outstanding sunset views.

The dive center is staffed by experienced divemasters, instructors and boat crews, and is stocked with new equipment and a Nitrox filling station for qualified divers. There is a designated camera room with 18 individual stations with matted work surfaces, power outlets, lockers and designated rinse tanks for all the photography enthusiasts.

The resort is conveniently located with access to over 50 dive sites. Some of the most sought after critters frequent the area including flambouyant cuttlefish, several species of frogfish, seahorse and octopus including the bluering. One can spot many types of crabs and shrimps, eels and reef fish living amoungst the colourful coral in the area.

After our stay here we travel to Palau, one of the most beautiful Pacific Island nations. Widely known amoungst divers for it’s clear turquoise water, proliferation of schooling fish, large pelagics, sharks and healthy reefs, this destination is truly spectacular. Above water the views are equally breathtaking, with lush green jungle covered small islands creating stunning channels and dramatic scenery.

Here we will embark on a 7 night liveaboard trip on the magnificent and luxurious Solitude One. This steel hulled boat offers every comfort one may expect. From luxurious air-conditioned cabins, to a well thought out and spacious dive deck, from purpose designed camera set up room to onboard jaccuzzi and sunning area, every detail has been well thought out and beautifully executed. The boat also travels with two solid-based skiffs which make for smoother drop-offs and easier access than the commonly used ribs.

The staff are experienced and well trained and offer outstanding service. The ample and delicious meals are served at outdoor shaded tables. Snacks are provided between dives and a fully stocked bar is available for after diving enjoyment.
