Papua Paradise Eco Resort is located on the island of Birie in the Raja Ampat archipelago, in West Papua. It is a 2 hour boat ride from the nearest airport and offers both complete seclusion from the hustle of a town and access to some of the world’s best dive sites.
Raja Ampat requires little introduction – some of the world’s most pristine reef systems, unparalleled biodiversity, and spectacular topside vistas. The area offers opportunity to enjoy huge schools of fish, exciting drift diving, interesting macro life and picturesque reef exploration.
Papua Paradise Eco Resort is situated on a pristine stretch of coast line, backed by virgin jungle and untamed wilderness. The 16 waterfront bungalows are simple but comfortable and are built on stilts in the shallows, overlooking the bustling house reef. The waterfront restaurant offers a variety of European and Indonesian dishes on its buffet. Much of the fruit and vegetable is grown onsite; other ingredients are sourced from local sustainable enterprises.
Because of its proximity to the jungle, Papua Paradise offers a good opportunity to go on bird watching excursions, with a great chance of seeing Hornbills, Cockatoos and other exotic species. The resort has 7 boats, allowing for spacious and comfortable diving in small groups. The team of experienced guides will help point out the interesting macro life throughout the dives, although with large schools of fish, manta rays, sharks and coral gardens will no doubt capture ones attention. The resort offers 4 dives a day and free Nitrox fills for appropriately certified divers.
