The Ocean Hunter III liveaboard is a luxury 96 foot boat which has been finely tuned to accommodate divers throughout the Palau region and beyond. She comes equipped with all the extra gadgets you could wish for in such a remote part of the world including Trimix and Rebreather support, underwater scooter and an air conditioned lab for scientific research and film productions. Still, if you’re not the type of diver to be fussed by fancy gadgets then you can always kick back and soak up the bubbles in the sundeck Jacuzzi.
The Ocean Hunter III liveaboard has 8 cabins and sleeps up to 16 guests in comfort with air conditioning and private bathrooms. The large dining room serves up delicious food and tasty treats throughout the day. For those that need an extra wakeup call in the morning an espresso machine is on hand. In the salon there’s an entertainment system and computers for uploading images and burning CD’s to share. The crew of seven have years on experience sailing and diving in these waters and promise to help make one’s stay on the Ocean Hunter III unforgettable.
Diving Palau on the Ocean Hunter III liveaboard allows you to see the highlights of what the region offers. This vast network of islands offers reef systems in abundance and whilst land based diving is possible a safari style itinerary comes highly recommended. Palau authorities recently declared the region a shark sanctuary. There are significant numbers already inhabiting the waters of Palau compared to neighboring countries such as Philippines and Indonesia. This only reinforces Palau’s reputation as one of the world’s premier shark diving regions. Combine this with dramatic reef topography, arch’s, overhangs and caverns plus a thriving fish community and Palau surely earns it’s right to be called a premier dive destination.
