This steel hull 38m dive boat features 10 air-conditioned staterooms, each with private bathrooms attached. The boat has huge sun decks and comfortably furnished lounge areas and well-stocked bar. Purpose built for diving in the South Pacific, the dive deck is spacious, well thought-out and extremely organised. That, coupled with a superb crew of 11 and the 2 managers, makes for an easy, luxurious liveaboard experience. There are several comfortable areas to relax in the sun or the shade and a communal lounge with TV and DVD player. The dive deck has large camera table and separate rinse tanks. There are plenty of power sockets for charging batteries, strobes etc. Nitrox fills are available at a surcharge.
The Bilikiki operates from March to December and the itineraries cover to three main groups of islands with in the New Georgia Islands – Florida Island, Russel Island and Marovo Lagoon. These combine to provide an extremely diverse group of dive sites and opportunity to enjoy many of the best-known sites in the area. Every itinerary (7, 10, 11 or 14 days) also includes a village trip, giving guests a chance to meet Islanders, see and purchase locally produced items like baskets and carvings, and visit a school and church. There are a number of wrecks in the area that are within recreational dive limits and still house ammunition and machinery in their holds and dishes and bottles in their gallies.
From the Bilikiki Liveaboard, divers explore aged war relics and sunken vessels that now form spectacular, artificial reefs. These wrecks have become artificial reefs, teaming with a diverse variety coral life and schooling fish. All dive wrecks within Solomon Islands are strictly protected as National Heritage, providing divers with the thrill of discovering untouched diving sites frozen in time.
