Having just completed a group tour to Bali and Komodo, I was lucky enough to spend a few days at this magnificent and luxurious sea side resort in Eastern Bali. The resort is the perfect place for those wanting to dive Bali. The rooms are located in lush and manicured gardens. Each is spacious and luxuriously finished, with a beautiful outdoor bathroom. The sea front bungalows have private patios with pool loungers. Siddartha also offers three villas, each with two bedrooms, communal living space and private swimming pools.
The resort boasts a large restaurant with delicious homemade German style bread on the breakfast buffet, and locally sourced produce used to make all meals. The staff are all from the surrounding villages; the resort strives to reinvest in the local environment and community.
The Siddhartha Resort is perfectly situated for those wanting to dive Bali. Thea spectacular house reef measures 350m in length and is only a 50m walk from the dive shop. Here one can expect to see all manner of nudibranch, crabs and shrimps galore, leaf fish and ribbon eels to name a few. With easy and quick access, clearly mapped out routes to avoid confusion once submerged, and staff at the ready to help carry equipment and advise points of interest, it couldn’t be easier. The resort also offers boat dives to some well known dive areas in the vicinity including The USAT Liberty Wreck, Amed and Nusa Panida.
Divers and non-divers alike will enjoy this resort. I was lucky enough to spend some time at the Siddhartha Spa- 6 Elements. It was a real treat and definitely a highlight. The spa offers 6 individual themed therapy rooms and one couples room, and highly skilled therapists. I can honestly say this was one of the best full body massages I’ve ever had. Everyone will enjoy the magnificent views from the infinity pool, and bar area. The resort offers daily yoga classes in an open sided pergola with magnificent views, as well as excursions to local places of interest including a nearby volcano, a local village or well known shopping districts in Bali.
