Hideaway in the glorious simplicity of Raja 4 Divers resort, just 6 stilted bungalows lay at the shoreline of this private and secluded island that goes by the name of Pulau Pef, just one of over a 1000 islands that make up the Raja Ampat. When it comes to escapism it doesn’t get much better than this, overlooked by its own limestone cliff, fringed by white sand beach and shaded by coconut trees it makes for the ideal getaway from the pressures of western life. There’s a whole network of channels, bays and inlets within easy reach by kayak from the resort or walk the jungle trails in search of rare and colourful Papuan birds. At the end of the day it’s just time to kick back in the hammock and watch the sun set over neighbouring islands with a cold drink. The resort is ideally located in north Raja Ampat, expect exceptional diving as standard.
