Komodo is a national park of 26 islands which lie to the east of Bali. Taking a trip to this remote corner of Asia feels like stepping back in time. The highland peaks, islands and islets are characterised by stunning coral reefs and magnificent white sand beaches. Take a cruise on a traditional phinisi schooner sailing yacht to encounter the finest of diving in the region. If you prefer to be based on land we have a beautifully designed resort located in the heart of the national park.
Below the surface you can expect truly world class diving. It is after all the heart of the Coral Triangle. Manta cleaning stations are scattered throughout the park. It isn’t uncommon to have encounters with large numbers of these majestic creatures. Schooling pelagics and reef sharks also make frequent appearances. Photographers who appreciate the smaller creatures will be deeply rewarded with critters to discover on every reef outcrop or black sand bay. Below the surface topography ranges from diverse coral gardens to craggy pinnacles and walls. This makes the diving suited to a variety of preferences. Topside, there’s the chance to trek on Komodo Island and see legendary Dragons lazing in the warm sunshine.
We recommend diving from Komodo liveaboards during the dry season of April to October. As for land-based diving in Komodo, you can stay at any time of year. Look out for our yearly group tours where which we combine with Bali.
