I am super excited about our upcoming group safaris to Alor and Komodo. The diving in Alor and Komodo promises to be world class, with a fantastic combination of macro diving, big fish sightings like sharks and manta rays, and magnificent healthy reefs and walls.
The tours (starting 22 April, 20 May and 14 October) cater to a maximum of 10 guests each, keeping the groups intimate, and are scheduled to maximise the chances of seeing schooling hammerhead sharks off Alor. Diving in Alor also offers superb photography opportunities with world-famous muck diving as well as spectacular coral scenery. Sites include pinnacles, sloping reefs, walls and volcanic sandy bottom muck diving sites.
We stay at a secluded and small beachfront resort- Alami Alor. Here we enjoy three dives a day, delicious food, luxurious accommodation and attentive experienced staff.
We then move on to Komodo Resort in Komodo National Park. It’s reputation as one of the best diving destinations in the world is no overstatement. Here we stay in this luxurious resort on a private secluded island, enjoy beachfront airconditioned bungalows, delicious plentiful food, and magnificent sunset views.
The diving in the area is well known for its healthy reefs teaming with numerous fish, ranging from schooling barracuda and jacks, to rhinopia and harlequin shrimp. Manta rays are often seen here, sometimes in groups, as well as reef sharks, eagle rays and even dolphins.
