Prices
A 7 night stay at Exotic Dive Resort costs £665 including accommodation in a deluxe room, full board, 2 boat dives per day with tanks, weights and guide. Packages can be tailored to suit. Additional dives cost £25. Nitrox is available.
Flights from London or Manchester to Cebu via Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific start at £600 per person. Collection by Exotic Resort staff from Cebu airport and transfer to resort costs £115 total for return transfers – suitable for 2 persons.
Diving
Diving takes place from the beach, guests embark right in front of the resort onto traditional style converted ‘Bangka’ boats. Dive sites range from 5 mins to 50 mins in travel time. Monad Shoal is a platform reef about 30 minutes from the resort and is the place for spotting Thresher Sharks, quite often manta and devil rays show up – Exotic run trips to this dive site daily. During a 7 night stay you would expect to see Threshers at least once. Gato Island is a small circuler outcrop which plays host to soft corals in abundance and offers regular white tip shark sightings.
Travel
Cebu (Mactan) City is located on the island of Cebu in central Philippines. If you’re arriving into the city late at night we suggest an overnight in a hotel (we can arrange as part of the package), you’ll then be fresh for an early morning transfer to the island. Expect a 3 hour road transfer to the north of Cebu island and the port of Maya with very beautiful scenery enroute. Exotic will then transfer you to Malapascua Island by Bangka – 45 mins. We can arrange direct transfers to/or from Exotic from most parts of Philippines. Contact us for more details about getting to Malapascua.
Tips and Suggestions
